FIND A CHURCH

As a believer, we are called to be in relationship with others (fellowship). It is in our local church where we worship, hear messages from leaders, and grow spiritually. You might join a small group where you meet regularly with a core group of believers to build relationship and discuss the Word. You may also join a Bible Study or attend a class. Many churches have different options for their members to chose from as they grow in their spiritual lives.

We invite you to join us at Two Rivers Church each weekend (Saturday at 6pm, Sunday at 9am or 11am), but we also know that you may live a distance from us!

The easiest method is to do a google search for key words "spirit-filled church" using your zip code.

CHOOSE A BIBLE

As a new believer, it is vital that you get into God's Word. If you do a quick Amazon search, you may find yourself overwhelmed with the different options and translations. The difference in translations comes from different approaches in rendering the original languages of the Bible (Greek and Hebrew) into English. Some are more formal and some others might use more "day-to-day" speech.

For new believers, we recommend New Living Translation (NLT) or New International Version (NIV). You can choose something inexpensive or more elaborate that might include study notes and space in the margins to write in.

Looking to read your Bible digitally? We recommend YouVersion Bible App for access to different versions, reading plans, and guided Bible studies.

START LEARNING

It might seem like there is so much to learn about your new faith and you don't know where to start! The Christian life is a whole journey of learning so don't feel like you have to know EVERYTHING right now. We do recommend the video series The Believer by Jim Cymbala. It is for those beginning their walk with the Lord or any believer in Christ who wants to go back to the basics of the Christian faith. Topics include “Salvation,” “The Bible,” and “Prayer.” Study guide included.
